BANGOR - On September 9, 2014 heaven received an extra special angel. Gayle was born on May 19, 1937, in LaGrange. She was the daughter of Iona and Aubrey Moulton. She grew up on her grandparent's family farm in LaGrange. Gayle attended schools in LaGrange and Bangor. She was employed at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. Gayle was a member of the Young Mothers Club and formed many long lasting friendships. Gayle loved to shop and catch all the local craft fairs. Her and husband Lou were famous for their food gatherings and holiday parties. Gayle loved her ice cream and chocolate kisses. Gayle is survived by her children, Dawn Call and husband, Stephen, Gary Giddings and wife, Kathy, Ryne Giddings and wife, Teresa; also grand-doggies Sherman and Chloe; brother, Reggie Moulton; sister, Sharon McClellan and husband, Steve; long time best friend of 67 years, Rosalie Hodge and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gayle was predeceased by her husband, Louis Zelko and brother, Daryll Decker. The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands Senior Living for the kind-hearted care Gayle was given for the past year. A celebration of Gayle's life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12 noon until time of service on Friday, and then to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service. Gifts in Gayle's memory to help support residents' activities may be made by contacting Chelsea (Activities Coordinator at Woodlands Assisted Living) at 989-7577.
