Obituary for Roslyn Kaprow

Roslyn Kaprow, 88, died September 23, 2014, in New Haven, CT. Roslyn was born in Providence, RI on September 29, 1926 to the late Maurice and Betty (Mushnick) Cohen. She moved to Bangor, ME in her teenage years. There she met and married her late husband, Gerald L. Kaprow, to whom she was married for 53 years. Together they had two children, Gail (Robert) Ginsberg, Trumbull, CT and Michael (Carole Ann) Kaprow, Boynton Beach, FL. Roslyn was a wonderful cook and housewife. Her recipes will live on forever.

She and Jerry enjoyed life in Bangor, ME and Boynton Beach, FL. They golfed and played many games of bridge together. They were prior members of Penobscott Valley Country Club and Hunter’s Run Country Club. Roslyn moved to New Haven, CT four years ago to be closer to family.

Roslyn leaves her daughter Gail and her grandchildren, Marcia (Scott) Aliberti, Lauren (Jeffrey) Halperin, Amy (Joseph) SantaLucia, and her great grandchildren Jaden and Reese Aliberti, Jacob and Olivia Halperin, Michael and Jonah Santa Lucia. Her son Michael and grandchildren, Tammy (Mike) Moore, Amey Malloy and Rob (Heather) Rosewall and great grandchildren, Hannah Lyons, Abby Boulier , Allyson Malloy and Holly Rosewall. These were her dividends of life.

In addition to her husband and parents, Roslyn was predeceased by her sister Helen Egan.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM, Sunday, September 28, at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Severence Drive, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center at Brookings-Smith, 163 Center Street, Bangor, following the interment.

Shiva will be observed at the homes of her children in Trumbull, CT and Boynton Beach, FL.
