Obituary for Doris D. Brooks (Perry)

BANGOR – Doris D. (Perry) Brooks, 44, died September 28, 2014, at her home, with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1970, in Bangor, the daughter of Earland F. Perry and Sally L. (Lawrence) Berry.
Doris graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1988. She enjoyed being a stay at home mother, and taking care of her family. Doris loved animals and watching movies. Doris was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Heather Perry of Milo, and Jamie Perry of Waterville; granddaughter, Jenna Grinnell of Milo; mother, Sally Berry of Bangor; sisters, Linda Garnett of Bangor, Bonita Jenkins of Bangor, and Corine York of Bradford; brother, Philip Perry of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 6 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2014, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, where relatives and friends are welcome to call from 4 p.m., until the time of service. Those who wish to remember Doris in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
