Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elizabeth Crane can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Bangor - Elizabeth A. “Bette” Crane, 77, died October 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 3, 1936 in Bangor the daughter of Ralph and Thelma (Fortier) Perry. Bette graduated from John Bapst in 1956. She was employed as a teller for several years at Merrill Trust Bank, and then spent many years as a Mary Kay Consultant. Bette was a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, Bette was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Clark E. Crane; son Shawn Crane; daughter Sherry M. (Crane) Clifford; grandson Jacob; brother Charles Perry; special aunt, Frances. She is survived by two children, Darrell C. Crane and his wife, Carolyn, of Glenburn, Donald S. Crane and his wife, Laurie, of Rumford; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Jenna, Jordan, Eric, Keith, Elizabeth and Benjamin; seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Winterberry Heights Memory Care, and Beacon Hospice for all the care and support shown to Bette. A memorial service will be held 1:00pm Monday October 13, 2014 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish to remember Bette in a special way make gifts in her memory to Beacon Hospice 304 Hancock Street, Suite 3A Bangor, Maine 04401.
