Thomas Roy  Palmer
Thomas Roy Palmer, 69, passed away with his family by his side, October 17, 2014, at his home. He was born November 13, 1944, in Alpena, MI, the son of Roy J. and Eleanor M. (Carr) Palmer.
Thomas graduated from Alpena High School, and upon graduation joined the US Navy, in 1962. He served his country for two years in Vietnam and aboard the USS Manley. When he was discharged from the military, Thomas went to work for General Electric, where he worked in Shipping and Receiving for 37 years. He was also a member of the Maine Dental Board from 1998-2007.
Thomas was a wonderful husband to his wife, Cynthia, with whom he spent 23 years. He was a loving father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Eldridge) Palmer; son, Michael Murray and his wife Caroline of Virginia; daughter, Kimberly Ginn of Holden; daughter, Valerie Palmer of Florida; and grandchildren, Hunter, Colt, Mason, and Julianna; as well as his very special friends, Donna and Dwayne Hall of Holden. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother. The family wishes to thank Christine and the staff of Premier Home Healthcare, and Hospice of Eastern Maine for their loving care of Thomas during this time.
