Obituary for Mary Carolyn Kimball

M. Carolyn Kimball, 86, died February 28, 2015, at her residence in Brewer. She was born May 20, 1928, in Bangor the daughter of George T. and Mary C. (McInnis) Mann.

Carolyn graduated from John Bapst High School in the Class of 1946. She was a dear and lovely person and was always there if anyone needed advice or someone just to talk to. Her family was everything to her and she was the one who always kept everyone together. Carolyn was the quiet supportive mother who was always there when needed and had the right words of comfort. She will be dearly missed as a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Burnell of Campton, NH, Margaret Smith of Concord, NH, Cheryl Keith and husband David of Farmington; a son, Eugene Kimball and fiancé Winnie Chan of Ellsworth; two sisters, Marguerite Dutil and Shirley Cassidy both of Bangor; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Homer “Bar” Kimball Jr. in 2008, and a brother Philip Mann in 1997.

Services will be private for the family. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, in the spring. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor, 654 State Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
