Kenduskeag – Lewis H. White Jr., passed away very peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2015, after a long illness. He was born on January 10, 1938 in Kenduskeag, to Lewis and Bernice (Noddin) White.

On January 27, 1973, he married the love of his life, Linda (Sawyer) White. They enjoyed 42 years of great times spent with their children, grandchildren, family and friends. Herbie loved going to church every Sunday and his church family meant a great deal to him. He spent many years on the property and maintenance committee and drove the church van when needed. He enjoyed a long career as a heavy truck mechanic at various locations.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his five children, Susan White, Bonnie Burris and husband Robert, Michael White and wife Jennifer, Wendell White and wife Robin, David White and wife Melissa; his grandchildren, which were his pride and joy, Christy Sue Smith-Pickrel, Megan Foisy, Ashley Borders, Joshua White, Lindsey White, Brett White, Courtney White, Autumn White, Isabella White, and a great grandchild, Olivia Borders; two sisters, Yvonne Dunton and Dody Ely. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his very special step-mother, Mary White.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday April 26, 2015 at the Hermon Baptist Church with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment will be held at a later date.
