Obituary for Ida Pearl Vanwart

Ida Vanwart, fondly known as Nana, passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center on May 15, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born February 11, 1918 in Bangor, the daughter of Harry and Addie Chambers.

Ida was predeceased by her husband Robert Vanwart, a brother Harry Chambers, Jr., and two sisters Etta Woodbury and Ina Strang. She is survived by three daughters, Gerry Blanchard and husband Irving of Bangor, Kathleen Adams of Brewer, and Shirley Crooker and husband Roland of Newburgh. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchild; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Ida's fondest memories were of spending time with her family, time at camp with her sister, and crocheting.

Services for the family will be private. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
