Obituary for Lorenzo J. Daigle

Lorenzo J. “Roy” Daigle, 89, died May 20, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 8, 1925 in Fort Kent, son of Rodrick and Delina (Labbee) Daigle.

Roy was a well-known dairy farmer in Hermon and will be remembered as a very loving person and hard worker. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Rose Daigle of Hermon; three sons, Daniel Daigle and his wife, Patti of Vernon Hills, Ill., John Daigle and his wife, Christine of Oxford, CT, James Daigle and Orlando Ramos of Sarasota, FL; four daughters, Shirley Higgins and her husband, Joe of Bangor, Germaine Murphy and her husband, Tom of Torrington, CT, Adrienne Buzzell and her husband, Bruce of Hermon, Cecile Daigle of Hampden; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Patrick Daigle and his wife, Teresa and Oreen Daigle and his wife, Monique, both of Fort Kent; a stepdaughter, Michele Butera of Brewer. He was predeceased by his first wife of 59 years, Lauretta M. Daigle in 2006. The family wish to thank EMMC 3rd Floor nursing staff and the ICU for their compassionate and dedicated care.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 7pm Friday May 22, 2015 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A Funeral Mass will be held 11am Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio Street Bangor followed by the Rite of Committal at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
