Stephen J. Mitchell, passed away unexpectedly May 19, 2015. He was born in Bar Harbor, December 12, 1959. He grew up in Brewer, and went to school there. Then worked at Eastern Fine Paper. After there he worked in retail, becoming department manager at Home Depot. After which he hit the road as a big rig driver, traveling from Napa, CA. to N.Y. and points in between. He loved his work, but home and family more.
Stephen was predeceased by his father, Tom Mitchell, and nephew, Cody Mitchell.
Surviving are his mother, Ruby Mitchell, brothers, Barry and his wife Janine Mitchell, Donald and Kenneth Mitchell; two nephews, Quinn and Nolan Mitchell; one niece Hayden Mitchell. Special family members, Blanche and Rocky, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rest in peace Stephen, knowing how much you were loved.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday May 28, 2015 at the family plot, Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge, with Owen Beal, officiating.
