Bangor – Carlene P. Fields, 94, passed away July 14, 2015 surrounded by loving family and friends at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 11, 1920, in Frankfort, the daughter of James and Christina (Perkins) Otis.

Carlene graduated from Frankfort High School. Later she married Raymond Fields, and together they owned and operated Ray’s Service Center, a venture that lasted 32 years. She was a past member of the Eastern Star in Winterport, and was active with the Shriners with her husband. She also was a member of the Zonta Club, an organization for businesswomen. In later years she enjoyed knitting and quilting.

In addition to her parents and husband of 40 years, Carlene was predeceased by 3 brothers; a sister; and son-in-law Frederick E. Lower III. She is survived by her daughter Donna Lower; her grandchildren, Lynda Rae West and husband Robert, Jr., Sonya Lee Parrotino and husband Michael, and Frederick E. Lower IV and wife Lisa; great grandchildren Robert C. West III, Jenna Lee West, Danielle Rae Robinson, and Trent W. Robinson, Jr., Alexis F. Lower, and McKenzie H. Lower; great great grandchildren Braxton Tyler Rose and Weston Charles Rose; sister Gloria Bennett and husband Jimmy; special niece Virginia Parish; and several nieces and nephews.
