Brewer – Florence E. McEachern, 100, passed away peacefully November 7, 2015, at an Old Town assisted living facility. She was born December 7, 1914, in Ipswich, MA, the daughter of Benjamin and Mable (Adams) Hart.

Florence was a life-long resident of Brewer. She was a sales clerk for many years both at Freese’s, and at Epstein’s department stores. Florence enjoyed her family, her home, and long walks with her dogs. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Our mother was a beautiful and wonderful person who will be greatly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Blanchard, and her second husband, Donald McEachern; son Bob Blanchard; and grandsons Roger and Rodney Blanchard. She is survived by daughters Rose Martin of Bangor, and Betty Smart of Old Town, and son Raymond Blanchard of Orrington. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of The Meadows for their wonderful care. Also, to New Hope Hospice for taking care of our mother on the last few days of her life.

Services will be private for the family. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Brewer. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
