Bangor - Yvonne “Bonnie” (Pelkey) Young, 73, passed away November 24, 2015, peacefully at home with her family and "Significant Other" at her side. Bonnie was born in Brewer, September 24, 1942 and graduated from Stearns High School in Millinocket in 1980.

Bonnie was an avid reader of mystery books; loved to sew; loved making jewelry; and was an excellent cook in the kitchen. She was an avid fan of "ID"(Investigative Discovery) on TV. She was also a waitress at downtown restaurants for 35 years, including Brountis, Fairmount, Pine Tree, and Geaghan's.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents Robert and Stella Pelkey; her brother Michael Pelkey; her sister Judy McCormick; and her daughters Brenda, Becky Jo, and Betty Ann.

She is survived by her children: Debra & husband Kevin Gagnon, Barbara & husband Clayton Jacques; her son William Sargent Jr. all of Brewer; her sister Patricia & husband Dick Foley of Bangor; her brother Robbie & his wife Sandra Pelkey from Terryville, Conn. She is also survived by her significant other Paul T. LeClair of Bangor, with whom she spent 7 beautiful and quiet years with, 'and who was her "Rock". Bonnie was his "Soul­ mate" and each will miss the other dearly. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Willie & Kristi Sargent, J.J. Patchell, Adam Gagnon, C.J. & Lucas Jacques. Her great­ grandchildren Brandon, Brady, Gianna, Niko, & Raven, and several nieces and nephews.

A rite of committal will be held at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, 449 Ohio Street, Bangor on Saturday November 28th at 11:00 A.M. Her remains will be laid to rest in the "Cremation Garden" where the ashes of her and her significant other will find their final resting place together. Following the rite of committal, there will be a gathering at her former residence, Cedar Falls Trailer Park, 666 Finson Road Lot 252 in Bangor.
