Obituary for Michael Ronald Deyone

Michael Ronald Deyone
Michael “Mike” Ronald Deyone, 57, died on February 8, 2016. Mike was born in Bangor, March 14, 1958, the son of Ronald M. Deyone and Gertrude “Trudy” E. (Tourtillotte) Deyone. Mike grew up in Brewer, graduating from Brewer High School in 1976, moving to Bangor, where he lived since. Mike began working in sales as a young adult and continued in this profession up to the time of his death. His last position was as a regional sales representative for ITG Brands, a company based from North Carolina.

Mike lived life to the fullest, enjoying all life presented with his family and his many close lifelong friends. Mike could always be found helping and giving to all blessed to know him. Mike’s smile and laugh lit up a room with joy and all those gathered around him loved to listen to his many stories and tales. He so loved riding his Harley to wherever his bike could take him.

Nothing made him happier than spending time traveling and riding his Harley to many destinations with the love of his life, Shelli. In the most recent years, Mike was the happiest spending time with his precious granddaughter, Caitlin. His face would light up with such love and joy when he was hugging and playing with her. No father could be prouder of a daughter than Mike was of Melanie, watching her grow into the fine woman and mother she is today.

He so enjoyed spending many nights with his many dear friends as they gathered in the Stone Street Pub over his garage, engaging in a game of pool and exchanging stories of their weeks together. Mike’s door was always open to all his family and friends.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Gertrude “Trudy” Deyone; his twin grandchildren, Colby and Alexis McGrath; and brother in law, Gary E. Milles. Mike is survived by his beloved wife Michelle R. (Ranney) Deyone of thirteen years; his daughter, Melanie J. McGrath and husband, Dennis McGrath and granddaughter, Caitlin A. McGrath of Bangor; and his sister, Cynthia L Milles of Orrington. He was loved deeply by his three nephews who forever called him “Unc”, Ryan D. Maher and wife, Christen of Auburn, NH, Corey R. Maher and wife, Rachel of Glenburn, and Erik G. Milles of Windham. Mike was also survived by his father-in-law, Wilbur Ranney and wife, Judee; sister-in-law, Dawn DeBois and her extended family including cousins, Brenda Campbell and Gary Tourtillotte and Uncle Randall Tourtillotte.

He will be forever missed by his HOG riding family and his dear friends of the SSC Pub.

If there is a Harley in heaven, Mike is riding it now smiling down to all who will love and miss him forever.
