Obituary for Ralph Edward Jellison

Ralph Edward  Jellison
Clifton - Ralph E Jellison Sr., 76, passed away in Bangor on March 4, 2016. He was born December 4, 1939 in Sorrento, the son of Lois (Pierce) and Edward Jellison. Ralph joined the Air Force out of high school, serving 21 years between active duty and national guards. Prior to retiring, Ralph worked at Holbrook School in Holden. Ralph is predeceased by his parents, his brother Russell, an infant brother, an infant sister, and his step son-in-law, Lindy Leavitt. Ralph is survived by his wife, Judith L. (Achorn); his sons Ralph Jr. and wife, Kathleen, of Orland, John and his wife, Cissy, of Steuben, and Troy and his wife, Amy, of Ellsworth; and his step children: Dawn Leavitt of Smithfield, Bret Achorn and his wife, Ginny, of Amherst , Ray Achorn of Eddington, Jeffrey Achorn of Clifton, and Todd Achorn and his partner, Joe, of Smithfield; his brother Donny and wife, Barbara, of Lisbon; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Clifton United Baptist Church, 742 Airline Road Clifton. Interment is planned for late spring.
