Virginia C. Elliott “Ginny” went home to be with the Lord peacefully on April 3, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on September 2, 1925 in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Seely and Aurissa (Curtis) Clark. She spent 60 years married to the love of her life, the late Alfred H. Elliott. She was predeceased by her son “Freddy” and twelve siblings. She is survived by her daughters Judy Hunter and husband Dwayne of Bradenton Florida, Bonnie Pinkham and husband Fred of Newburg, her son Galen Elliott and wife Lisa of Ellsworth, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grand children, numerous nieces and nephews including a very special niece Pearl Marie Simpson, and sister-in-law Shirley Clark. Fondly referred to as “Aunt Ginny,” she is cherished, loved, and remembered by many. She was an active member of her church and community. As well, she greatly enjoyed visiting and volunteering at Living Waters Bible Camp for many years. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center Street, Bangor , where relatives and friends are invited to call 2:30 p.m. until time of service. The family invites folks to share conversation and refreshments following the service, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. A private interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Living Waters Bible Camp, P.O. Box 250, Danforth, ME 04424. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring hospice workers as well as the staff and special friends at Sunbury.
