Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Newell Fern can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Ruth and Jay Perry
Condolence: We are sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Jay and I always look for him in the garden or sitting outside when we pass the house. He has always had an excellent garden. I remember many a time as a child watching your father leave the mill at lunchtime and return again for the afternoon shift never being late. He was a man of few words, but I never heard a cross or bad word from him. I am fortunate to know Tom, Louise, Steve, and Nancy. I know that his departure from this world leaves an emptiness in the lives of Steve and Nancy.

Condolence: Having lived in Clifton numerous years and also working but five years at the former William's Lumber Company, Tom was likely one of the most honest and hardworking men I ever knew. Always on the job every day, working consistently hard from beginning to end of each shift, and dedicated and loving family man for sure. Mostly quiet and reserved, I rarely saw him outside of the workplace. Having had respect for the man, I am sure he will be missed. God bless Tommy Fern!
