Inez Swett  Ackley
Inez (Look) Ackley, 96, lovingly known as “Nana” went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 12, 2016, at the home of her daughter. She was one of twelve children born to Ralph and Lula (Huntley) Look on April 4, 1920, at the Old Hotel in Cutler, ME.

Inez graduated from Washington Academy in East Machias and then married the love of her life Edgar “Cub” Ackley in June of 1938 and spent a wonderful life together until he passed away in 1971. She was a very devout Christian woman who loved everyone and would go out of her way to do for others. Inez spent her life doing various odd jobs until she decided she wanted to be a nurse and got her license by correspondence. She worked in nursing homes and later went into private homes to care for the elderly. Inez loved working with old people and continued this until she was 84 years old when she moved to Levant to be close to her family.

She is survived by two daughters; Patricia Ackley Bemis and husband Ray of Bangor, Brenda Rogerson of Hampden; nine grandchildren, Stephen Rogerson and wife Heather, Barry Hartford and fiancé Kelly Dowling, Stacey Grover and husband Gene, Katie Rogerson, Kerry Rogerson, Kyle Rogerson, Theresa Rogerson, Rhonda Rogerson, Danny Rogerson; a special foster granddaughter Andria Cunningham and her daughter Haley; ten great-grandchildren, Sarah Rogerson, Brian Rogerson, Lynnsey Hartford, Danny Hartford, Jordan Hartford, Corey Grover Joshua Grover, Silas Rogerson, Alexis Verburgt; one great-great-grandchild, Alia Grover; two sisters, Verna Dennison and Jean wood, numerous nieces and nephews, and a former daughter-in-law, Cindy Hartford. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Edgar “Cub” Ackley, two daughters, Darlene Inez and Wanda Dawn; a granddaughter Suzanne Rogerson; three brothers, Neil, Vincent and Maxwell Look; six sisters, Faith Huckins, June Davis, Mildred Bertwell, Virginia Reynolds, Betty Burns and Thelma Cates.

Funeral service will be held 2 PM, Sunday, July 17, 2016, at the Head of the River Church, Cutler. Friends are invited to meet with the family 1 hour prior to the service.
