Richard Conrad  Hill
OLD TOWN – Richard C. Hill, 97, died July 13, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Schenectady, NY; worked at the University of Maine from 1946 until his retirement in 1992. Dick served as Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Dean of the College of Technology, and Director of the Department of Industrial Corporation. He was best known for work and energy related enterprises. After 53 years of married life his wife Elizabeth died in 1999. He is survived by daughters, Judith Hill or Redding, CA, Martha Molden and her husband, Daniel, MD of El Cajon, CA, Carol McCarthy and her husband, William of Westbrook; sons, David Hill and Lucy Hazebrook of Kittery Point and Jonathan Hill and his wife, Judith Lacadie Hill of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Kate Anderson, Tucker Hill, Amy Molden, Bailey Means, Brent Molden, Samuel Hill and Abby McCarthy; five great-grandchildren, Claire Anderson, Wyatt Means, Willa Anderson, Halle Hill and Evie Means.

The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 4 to 6pm, Sunday August 14, 2016 at the Buchanan Alumni House, 160 College Avenue, Orono.
