Lyman Pierce  Folsom
Lyman P. Folsom, “Bud”, 91, died, July 30, 2016, at a Brewer healthcare facility. He was born September 24, 1924, in Brewer, the son of Charles and Leila Folsom.

Bud was a graduate of Brewer High School in 1943. He served in World War II, 1943-46, and the Korean War, 1951-52, for the United States Navy. He worked for Tidewater Oil, Gulf Oil and Mobil Oil. Bud worked for Mobil Oil for 31 years before retirement.

Bud was a member of the Ralph J. Pollard Lodge #217, A.F. & A.M., Orrington, and Scottish Rite Bodies, Anah Shriners.

Bud is survived by one son, Dana Folsom and Marie Brissette of Florida; one daughter, Linda Lufkin and her husband, Russell of Holden; two granddaughters, Allison Ford and husband Bill of Bangor and Angela Lufkin of Brewer; great-grand daughter Ella Ford; sister, Eunice Baldwin of Bangor; and friend, Janice McGinley and Carolyn Lainsbury. Bud was predeceased by his wife, Gloria (Pelkey) Folsom in 1990; brother, Wendall Folsom; sisters Phyllis Fredrickton, Charlotte Foster, Josephine Crook, and Carolyn Hanscom. A sincere thank you for the kind and compassionate to Paul Cramm with Gentiva/Kindred at Home and Michelle McCurdy Green with PCHC Geriatrics.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-7 PM, Wed, Aug. 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 AM, Thurs, Aug 4, with Rev. Art Gowie, officiating. Interment will be later at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
