Obituary for Cynthia Gwen Esty
Cynthia's Story
Bangor - Cynthia Gwyn Esty passed away on Sunday, November 13th of this year. She was born in Springfield, MA, of Robert and Barbara Esty.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Esty, her three children Luke, Jud, and Gwyn Esty-Kendall, and her one-year-old granddaughter Aya Kendall-Vasquez. Cynthia, also known as "The Original Cyn," was a lover of music, art, her garden, and, most of all, her family. She loved sunsets over Pushaw Lake where she lived for many years, watching turtles swim by with loon sounds echoing in the cool crisp Maine air. She was known to spontaneously burst into song--everywhere she went was a stage--and she enjoyed performing with various vocal groups over the years. Cyn will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
There will be an informal celebration of her life from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th 2016, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
