Bangor - Carol Heber Lane, 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born June 30, 1945, in Bangor, the daughter of Lt. Col. Malcolm M. Heber, USAF (RET), and Joanne (Garland) Heber. Carol graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1963, and in 1967 graduated from the University of Maine in Orono, where she received a Bachelor's degree. She was Alumni class columnist for 30 years. She also was a crisis hotline counselor for Spruce Run for twenty years. Carol is survived by daughter Bonnie and grandsons Malcolm, Orion, and Bodhi; Carol and husband of 15 years, Daniel, share 43 grand and great grandchildren; brothers Justin and wife Annick, Albert and wife Sarah; one niece; and six nephews.
