Obituary for Jerry Clark Whitehouse

Bangor - On November 22, 2016, Our Loving Creator called his name to be with his granddaughter Paige Olivia to be by her side in Heaven. Jerry Clark Whitehouse, loving husband, father and friend to everyone he touched, 70 of Bangor, passed away unexpectedly at home. Jerry was a graduate of Bangor High School's class of 1965 and a graduate of Beal College. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the Army at Fort Drum, New York where he met the love of his life, Linda Vignone. Jerry and Linda were married for 47 years. Jerry was well known to many in the Restaurant and Hotel business as he worked for the R.M. Flagg Company in Veazie for over 40 years, where he rose to President of the Company. Jerry retired in August of 2015 as a salesman after the company had been sold to Joe and Stacey Guerin. Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren and his friends. Jerry has many friends in the AA Community as he was an active member and sponsor. Jerry has been sober for over 25 years. Jerry loved to read, garden and vacation near the ocean in the motor home with his wife. Jerry was predeceased by his granddaughter Paige Olivia Curran; his parents Blanche and Cecil Whitehouse; and his in-laws, Andrew and Deloras Vignone. He is survived in addition to wife Linda Whitehouse; his sister Benita Shaw and her husband Paul of Brewer, brother Dennis Whitehouse and his wife Shirley of Millinocket; his son Andrew and his wife Erin Whitehouse of Bangor, his son Craig and his wife Christy Whitehouse of Levant, his daughter Lori and her husband Tom Curran of Levant, his son Jeffrey and his wife Brianna Whitehouse of South Portland; his grandchildren Caitlin, Keira, Jackson, Olivia, Chase, Megan, and Declan; special friends G. Richard Hansen, Dick Smith, Jennifer and Joseph Weiseit,
and many more in the fellowship.

The wonderful love of a beautiful maid, the love of a staunch true man, the love of a baby unafraid, have existed since time began. But the greater love, the love of all loves, even greater than that of a mother, is the tender, compassionate infinite love, of one Alcoholic for another.
