Stacy David Wilcox, 79, passed away peacefully December 28, 2016, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Washburn, January 30, 1937, son of David and Edna (Smith) Wilcox.
Stacy was a member of Messiah Baptist Church. He retired from the State of Maine, DOT, after 20 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Freda (Spencer) Wilcox; six children, Brian Wilcox and his wife, Robin, Cheryl Nason and her husband, Larry, Jeffrey Wilcox, Michael Wilcox and his wife, Jolean, Pamela Jewell and her husband, Keith, Aaron Wilcox and his wife, Melinda; twelve grandchildren, David, John, Anthony, Adam, Ashley, Angela, Timothy, Robie, Carl, Brandon, Bradley, Amber; five great grandchildren; brother, Darrell Wilcox and his wife, Corrine; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Trudy Wilson; brother, Stanley Wilcox.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Messiah Baptist Church, Union St., Bangor. Spring interment will be in the South Levant Cemetery.
