Charles “Charlie” A. Graffam, 89, died January 3, 2017 in Florida. He was born in Bangor August 16, 1927 the son of Irene G. and Milton O. McKinna.
Charlie married Norma E. Henriksen, December 25, 1949. He was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bangor Ward. Charlie enlisted in the Navy at 17yrs of age and served at the end of World War II and the Korean War. He also served in the Air National Guard. Charlie graduated from Husson College with a degree in Business Administration. Charlie enjoyed many things including gardening and spending days at his camp on Branch Lake with his family. He also liked to play softball in the city and church leagues. After retiring from Webber Oil Company he loved spending his winters in Florida with Norma where they enjoyed making many new friends.

Surviving are his five children, Charles A. “Chuck” Graffam Jr. and his wife Joan of Orrington; Linda (Graffam) Collinson of Albion; Dana Graffam and his wife Patricia of Eastport; Sharon Graffam of Orlando, Fl; and David Graffam and his wife Patricia of Levant; ten grandchildren, Stacy, Tony, Chad, Jeremy, Sean, Ryan, Jason, Jodie, Jesse and Regan, ten great-grandchildren; and one sister Theresa Smart. He is predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife Norma.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 693 Grandview Ave., Bangor. Spring interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Veazie.

Those who wish to remember Charlie in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Bangor LDS Ward , 639 Grandview Avenue, Bangor, Me. 04401, Family History Center.
