BANGOR - Pauline Louise Thompson (Harrison) Bailey, 89, widow of Hilfred K. Bailey passed away on January 7 at the Barron Center in Portland. She was born January 8, 1927 in East Corinth, the daughter of the late Harry B. Thompson and Dorothy H. (Walker) Thompson.
Pauline lived most of her life in Bangor and attended John Bapst High School. She and her husband, "Hillie", enjoyed square dancing and entertaining friends. In later years she shared her love of cooking her favorite dishes with family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Sheila A. Daigle and partner, David Leslie, of Scarborough, Stephen F. Harrison and his wife, Mary, of Orono, Katlyn Blackstone and her husband, Peter, of Portland; two sisters, Barbara J. McCubrey of Portland, Jean Bedell of Wells, and a brother, Robert Thompson of Naples, Maine; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bailey was predeceased by her first husband, James W. Harrison, Jr. in 1977 and a son, James W. Harrison, III in 1987.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center St., Bangor immediately following the service.
