Obituary for Theresa Arline Pollard (LaBree)

Theresa Arline Pollard (LaBree)
Brooklin and Glenburn – Theresa Arlene LaBree-Pollard, 83, passed away at a local hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 14, 1933, in Milford, the daughter of Nelson and Philomene (Trembley) LaBree.

Theresa was raised in Bradley, and lived in Old Town for several years. She was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. After raising her family, Theresa moved to Brooklin with her husband, Fred, where they spent their life together on the coast. She loved her family and having fun getting together for celebrations. She was passionate about her flower beds and gardening. She loved camping, being outdoors, and staying active. She fulfilled a dream by traveling to her Alaska with her husband. A few of her enjoyments were baking, antique cars, and collecting her knick knacks. Theresa was a kind, caring woman, who made friends easily, and offered an ear to listen. Her wisdom and gentle advice will be greatly missed by her family.

Theresa is survived by her children, son Richard and wife Linda of Glenburn, daughter Victoria of Old Town, and son Mark and wife Lori of Old Town; grandchildren Ashley Pollard, Austin Pollard, Jason Severance, Angela O’Leary, Jessica Pollard, Christina Pollard, and Mark Pollard; great grandchildren Rayna Pollard, Cody Severance, Gabriel Stewart, Brianna O’Leary, and Jacob O’Leary. She was extremely proud of them and all their accomplishments. Theresa is also survived by her sister, Marie O’Keefe, of Bradley. In addition to her parents and her husband, Frederick Pollard, she was predeceased by her children, Wayne Pollard, and Gayle Pollard; special son-in-law, Jeffrey Sibley; brothers Walter, Francis, and Robert LaBree; and sisters Rose Walinchuse, Margaret Martin, and Corrine Caswell.

The family would like to thank Ross Manor and New Hope Hospice, as well as two very special friends, Rev. Jan Matter and Kelley Neptune, for their compassion and care. Theresa was very fond of them, and enjoyed the times she got to visit and share her story. We are forever grateful.

A memorial gathering in Celebration of Theresa’s life, will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
