The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ruth Houston can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: To Ruth's family,

I was saddened to learn of Ruth's passing a couple of weeks ago. I first met this fine lady when she and Richard England moved into the house next to me in Veazie. They were the best neighbors ! They even cut down the row of scruffy pine trees that bordered our properties so that the ice and snow would melt in my driveway during the winter months. I was forever grateful for that act of thoughtfulness. Jim and I moved away in 2004, and lost touch with Ruth and Richard after a few years. We have fond memories of Ruth, and she will be missed. May you all be comforted in the many memories of her.
