John Allen  Caruso
John A. Caruso, 81, died peacefully January 19, 2017 at his home in Brewer. He was born August 17, 1935 in Bangor, son of Pasquale and Lillie M. (Bilson) Caruso. Jack was a graduate of John Bapst High School, class of 1954, and was employed in the retail grocery business for 40 plus years.
Surviving are his loving partner of 20 years, Linda B. LaPree, of Brewer; her children, Ellen White and her husband, Dale of Eddington, Gerry F. Potts of Plymouth, Patricia A. Stevens and her husband, Andrew of Jericho, Vermont; Jack’s children, Theresa Viollette and her husband, Pete of Florida, Tammy Cote and her husband, Sheldon of Orrington, John A. Caruso, Jr. of Bangor; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Sonderman and her husband, Joe of CT, Theresa Griebler and her husband, James, of MN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Pasquale J. Caruso, Jr., six sisters and three brothers.
Jack loved gardening in the summer months, playing cards/cribbage and traveling New England. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3177 of Brewer.
There will be a gathering for family and friends and all who would like to attend at Jack and Linda’s home, 198 Elm St., Brewer, ME on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
