Elizabeth Ann  Mayhew (Janvrin)
Carmel – Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Mayhew, 53, died after a brief illness February 27, 2017, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 6, 1963, in Amesbury, MA, the daughter of Eugene and Bonnie (King) Janvrin.

Beth attended schools in Newburyport and Amesbury, eventually receiving earning a GED. She worked various jobs in her lifetime including building lobster traps, shucking clams, store clerk, CNA, and driving a taxi, which she did for 17 years. Her latest job was driving for Penquis CAP, her favorite part being working with mentally challenged kids. Beth enjoyed doing things at her church, the Stetson Union Church, where she and her husband are members. She also liked to crochet and make beads, but she loved to go camping, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Beth will be remembered as an outgoing person who was always there to help. She was a free spirit.

In addition to her parents, Beth was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Janvrin. She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Roy Mayhew; 3 brothers, Eugene, Fred, and Ronald Janvrin; step-father Joe Cole; her in-laws, Roy and Ellen Mayhew; several special nieces and nephews whom she was like a mother to; and several others.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11-1 Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., with Rev. David Ray, Sr. pastor of the Stetson Union Church officiating. Those who wish to remember Beth in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
