Obituary for Marilyn Ann Hill ((Randall))

Marilyn Ann Hill ((Randall))
Marilyn A. Hill, 81 died peacefully on March 8, 2017. She was born March 27, 1935, in Eddington, Maine the daughter of Leo M. Randall and Phyliss A. (Hamilton) Randall.

The love of family filled her with joy and she often said, “Her children were her greatest gift.” Mary was a vibrant and strong woman, who sought counsel from God. She found wisdom through her life experiences and imparted her knowledge through long talks with her family. Known for her storytelling, Mary would regale her five children with stories after Sunday dinner.

Mary’s path in life gives credence to the hardworking, wonderful, compassionate woman she was. At an early age, her first job was as a nanny. Later, she worked at the Bangor State Hospital. When her children were of school age, Mary worked at a local shoe shop. Later in life, Mary went to college and received her degree in substance abuse counseling.

Marilyn had two sons from her first marriage. She is predeceased by her oldest son, James R. Libby Jr.; survived by her son, Darrell Libby, and wife, Dianna and their children, Rodney and wife Christina, their children Troy and Zachary; Cassie and her children; Makayla and Trinity, and Darren and his son, Hayden. Marilyn is survived by her daughters from her second marriage; Sandra Hill, and (predeceased) significant other, William (Dusty) Rhodes of Scarborough; Linda Richards and husband Roger of Bradford; their children Renee Lacadie and husband Greg, their children Jamie and Ainsley, Jason Richards and wife Andrea, their daughter, Ella; Lori Townsend and husband Gil of Corinth; their children Gilly Jr., and wife Kristany, their daughter, Addyson; Shaun and wife Desiree and their two sons, Ethan and Hunter. In addition to Marilyn’s parents, she is predeceased by the following brothers and sisters; Vinal, Arlene, Virginia, Leo, Joan, Donald, Wendall, and Robert. She is survived by her youngest sister, Carol Jean.

A sincere thank you, from the family of Marilyn Hill to the caring and friendly staff at Westgate Assisted Living and Alzheimer Care in Bangor.
