Bangor and Brewer – Mary “Molly” Robinson Duplisea-Palmer’s dance with life ended peacefully on April 4, 2017 at the age of 81, at the home of Eric “Ric” and Beth Duplisea. She resided in both Bangor and Brewer. Molly was born May 13, 1935 in Waltham, MA, the daughter of Gordon and Esther (Wood) Bates.

Molly received a Bachelor’s in Education from Wheelock College, and her Master’s in Education from UMO. She taught first grade at Capri Street School in Brewer. Molly was a long-time Friend (Quaker) and Al Anon member.

In addition to her parents, Molly is predeceased by her first husband, Eric Duplisea; sister, Nancy Bickford; and son-in-law, Lew Evilsizor. Surviving in addition to her husband, Jim Palmer are her daughters, Catherine Evilsizor, Sarah Marsanskis and husband Dave, Donna Allen, Naomi Pizarro, Susanna Palmer, Maureen Murray and husband Dan; son, Eric “Ric” Duplisea and daughter-in-love, Beth Duplisea; her grandchildren Matthew, Alex, Chris, Nick, Josie, Nikkie, Hailey, Cadence, Brandon, Issa; great-grandchildren Orion, Purity Anne and Tanner; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to a memorial gathering Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 2 - 5pm at the fellowship hall at St. Teresa’s Church, 436 South Main St., Brewer. For those who wish to make memorial contributions in Molly’s memory, the family suggests gifts to Friends of Kakamega. These and/or cards may be sent to PO Box 556, Orono, ME 04469.
