ELEANOR G. PARRITT, 96, WIFE OF THE LATE GORDON A. PARRITT, SR., DIED APRIL 9, 2017 AT A BANGOR HOSPITAL. SHE WAS BORN MARCH 18, 1921 IN BAR HARBOR, DAUGHTER OF MORRIS W. AND AMY C. (DYER) GRINDLE.
ELEANOR WAS A GRADUATE OF BAR HARBOR HIGH SCHOOL AND VALEDICTORIAN OF HER CLASS. SHE HAD BEEN EMPLOYED AS A BOOKKEEPER AT FOOTMAN’S DAIRY OF BREWER FOR MANY YEARS. ELEANOR WAS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF BREWER.
SURVIVING, ONE SON, GORDON A. PARRITT, JR. AND HIS WIFE, NANCY J. (PEARSON) PARRITT OF BAREFOOT BAY, FLORIDA, AND FOREST CITY, MAINE; TWO GRANDCHILDREN, DEBORAH P. OGDEN AND HER HUSBAND, JEFFREY OF CLINTON, AND TIMOTHY A. PARRITT OF BOSTON, MA.
A PRIVATE GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD LATER AT THE HILLSIDE CEMETERY, HULLS COVE, MAINE.
