Josephine Elizabeth  Moores (Wade)
Hudson and Brewer – Josephine (Wade) Moores, 90, passed from death into life eternal April 25, 2017. She was born August 24, 1926, in Bangor, the daughter of Lester and Ida (Wharton) Wade.

Josephine lived her whole life in Hudson and for over fifty years was an active member of Hudson Baptist Church. She and her beloved husband, Hollis shared their home and their gift of hospitality with many people over the course of their marriage. Until her retirement she worked for more than thirty years as a bookkeeper at W.C. Weatherbee and Sons in Bangor.

Josephine’s family is grateful for the excellent care provided for her at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor.

In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was predeceased by her sister Nanolive Blinn in 2014. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Deborah Kitchen and husband Gil, of Massachusetts, Hollis “Tim” Moores, and wife Liz, of Hudson, and Wendy Dearborn and husband Gary, of Brewer; 9 grandchildren: Allison, Joshua, Adam, Jared, Jonathan, Seth, Merideth, Libbie, and Christien; nineteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 So. Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, with Rev. Dick Woehr officiating. The family invites everyone to share conversation and refreshments at the Fellowship Hall of Calvary Baptist Church, 12 Family Center Lane, in Brewer, immediately after the service. Interment will be at Hudson Village Cemetery.
