Obituary for James Patrick Dewitt
James P. Dewitt, 56, died peacefully May 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 17, 1961, the son of James and Charlene (Violett) Bjorn.
Jim attended Brewer schools. He worked mostly in construction and landscaping. Jim liked pizza, hot wings, reading (especially the BDN), politics, camping, fishing, and the Oakland Raiders, but he mostly loved his devoted “mom”. Everyone who knew Jim would agree that he could always make people smile and laugh.
He was predeceased by his brother, Alan D. Dewitt and stepbrother, Rob Bjorn. He is survived by his mother, Charlene and stepfather, John Bjorn, of Hampden; His father, James P. Dewitt, of Ellsworth; Sister, Cathy and Paul Kowalksi and their son, Michael of Allen, Texas; Sister-in-law, Jeanna and husband Pret Bjorn, of Hampden; Sister-in-law, Pam and Tom Peck, of Frankfort; sister-in-law, Roselind and Tom Reeves, of Panella Park, Florida; cousin, Rocky and husband Pat Hayden; and a special friend, April.
