Edward  Roberts
Brownville Junction – Edward Roberts, 66, lost his battle with cancer May 7, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 11, 1950 in Bangor, the son of Philip E. Paradis and Winona I. Roberts.

Ed graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1968. In 1970, he married Brenda Flagg and they settled in LaGrange. They celebrated 46 years of marriage last November. That same year he was drafted into the Army and served his country in Vietnam. After the Army, he worked for Bailey Lumber Co., in Milo for a few years, and then worked 29 years for the Great Northern Paper Co., in Millinocket until its closing. He then went to EMCC in Bangor and worked as a Residential Carpenter until he retired in 2016.

Ed had a passion for restoring old cars and trucks and that is how he spent his retirement. He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Ed was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Laurene Lacy and a brother, Galen Paradis. In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by two daughters, Theresa M. Lovejoy and Angelina L. Roberts, both of Brownville; a son, Edward “Philip” Roberts and wife Anne, of Sterling, IL; four granddaughters, Taylor (Lovejoy) Murphy and husband Kyle, of LaGrange, Michaela “Micki” Lovejoy of Brownville Jct., Kenjilyn and Chanel Roberts, of Sterling, IL; and a great granddaughter, Amaya Ryleigh Lovejoy, of Brownville Jct.; three brothers, Gary Paradis of CT, Corey Roberts, of LaGrange, and John Henry Theriault of Williamsburg; a sister, Theresa (Paradis) Leonard of Bangor; a very special brother and sister-in-law, Phillip “Bud” and Susan Flagg of Hampden.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2017 at the Brownville Junction United Methodist Church. A reception will be held at the church dining room immediately afterwards.
