Obituary for Jeanne Marie Stout

Jeanne Marie  Stout
BANGOR – Jeanne Marie (St.Germaine) Stout, 78, passed peacefully at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor on June 8, 2017. She was born November 28, 1938 in Island Falls, daughter of Leonard and Therlia (McLellan) St.Germaine.

Jeanne graduated from Sherman Mills High School in 1957. She then moved to Boston to study to become a beautician at Wilfred Academy. She worked until her marriage to Capt. Raymond H. Stout in 1961. Jeanne raised her family stationed all across the country until settling in Bangor in 1975. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening and her puzzles in the newspaper. Most of all, Jeanne loved a good yard sale and a competitive game of Scrabble or Words With Friends. Jeanne was a strong woman, always proud of the home that she made. In later years, it wa s obvious she had passed down that strength and pride to her children and grandchildren.

Jeanne is survived by her loving mother, Therlia, her husband of 56 years, Raymond; children, Scott Stout and wife, Brenda of Glenburn, Sandra Patrick and husband, Thomas of Holden, Stefanie Goodine and husband, Kris of Hermon; grandchildren, Sara Stout of Bradley, Benjamin Stout and wife, Brianna of Orrington, Adam Patrick of Holden, Mercedes Speed and husband, Brett of Bangor, Tanner Goodine of Bangor, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special aunt, Sister Fatima. She is predeceased by her father, Leonard and sister, Shirley Sperry and husband, Richard. The family would like to thank the staff at Cancer Care of Maine, Maine Veterans’ Home and Beacon Hospice.

A private service will be held with the Rev. Jack Williams, Chaplain of Beacon Hospice, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
