Mabel Charlotte (Grant) Rankin, 90 passed away peacefully, June 2, 2017. She was born in Marion, May 30, 1927, daughter of George A. and Evelyn L. (Bernard) Grant Brown.
Mabel was a very kind, loving person who always cared for her family, even to the point of going without herself. She loved being at family cookouts and watching their ball games.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer S. Rankin, two children, Barbara Rankin and Edward Eugene Rankin, and a step-daughter, Donna Magoon
Surviving are, a daughter, Roberta Alexander of Glenburn; a son, Steven “Pete” Rankin of Bangor; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great, great granddaughter; one brother, Norman Grant of Bangor.
Private services will be held at Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
