CARMEL – Vickie Jean (Harris) Thayer, 59, went to be with the lord June 20, 2017 in Veazie. She was born January 21, 1958, during a snowstorm, in Greenville, the daughter of William Edward and Sophie Louise (King) Harris.

Vickie worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years where she developed many close friendships. Vickie will be remembered for her free spirit and outgoing personality.

Vickie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred Thayer. In addition to her parents, Vickie is survived by two sons, Lee Burke and girlfriend Amanda Mole, and Eric Burke and girlfriend Stephanie Roberts; a daughter, Mackenzie Estey; grandchildren, Keegan, Tyler, Sydney, Austin, and Riley; special friend, Sharon “Sarge” McCarthy and husband Johnny Carpenter; and many, many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held at 250 Hampden Road, Carmel. Please reach out to Eric or Lee for a specific date and time for the celebration.
