Obituary for Leland Dennis Braley
HUDSON – Leland D. Braley, “Ukulele Braley”, 60, died unexpectedly June 27, 2017, at his home. He was born December 6, 1956, in Bangor, the son of Lawrence Braley and Gloria Bubar.
Leland worked many years at Roger’s Market in Hudson. He enjoyed boating on the S.S Minnow. He loved all things outdoors, was a prankster and loved making people laugh. His best days were spent with his close friends with a good ole “toddy” in hand. Leland was a very outgoing and light-hearted man, who will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Leland is predeceased by a brother, Daniel Braley. Surviving is a daughter, Danielle Braley and fiancé Brandon Scovil; a son, Richard Braley; grandchildren, Aaiden Phelps and Amiya Scovil; brothers, Larry, Scott, Timothy, and Wendell Braley; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 3 p.m. until time of service, Wednesday. Interment will be private for the family in Pushaw Cemetery, Hudson. Those who wish to remember Leland in a special way may make gifts in support of the family to Danielle Braley, 28 Preble Lane, Carmel, ME 04419.
