BANGOR, AND ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA - Beverley E. Lawrence, 83, peacefully passed away in Atlanta, Georgia in the early morning of June 26, 2017. Bev was born on December 13, 1933, in Carmel, Maine, the son of Franklin Lawrence and Violet (Philbrook)Lawrence.

After earning his degree, Bev joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War as a boom operator. After his 20 year career in the Air Force, he worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier.

Bev was a 24 year continuous member of the American Legion, Etna-Carmel Post 107, Department of Maine. He was also a member and past commander of the VFW Post 239 in St. Augustine, Florida. Bev also served as a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Jacksonville, Florida, 32nd degree, and of the Ashlar Lodge No 98, St. Augustine, Florida.

He was a very hard worker and fiercely loyal. He was blessed with a great sense of humor and was full of love for life and family.

Bev was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Trinidad Borromeo Lawrence, in 2003, and his grandson, Travis Morgan, in 1999. He is survived by his four children: Donna Morgan and her husband Steve of Bowerbank, Maine; Frank Lawrence and his wife Marie of Kenduskeag, Maine; Tina Schulten and her husband Scott of Atlanta, Georgia; and Bruce Lawrence and his wife Aimie of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; by his grandchildren: Paul Morgan; Amy Gagnon; Frank Lawrence, Jr.; Eric Lawrence; Tiffany Schulten; Joe Schulten; Jenna Schulten; and Jenifer Lawrence; and by his great grandchildren.

A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held at 1 PM, Thurs, July 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until the start of the service. Rite of Committal with military honors will follow at the Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
