Orono – Jeanne M. Connors, 62, and widow of Edward S. Connors, died peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2017, at a Bangor hospital. She was born October 22, 1954, in Old Town, the daughter of Carlton M. and Lorena M. (King) Scofield. Jeanne graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1973. She worked for several years at Ames, and then later at the University of Maine, until her disability took over her life. The family would like to give a special thank you to Elnora and Dakota, who were especial care givers; and to the staff at Dirigo Pines who made her stay there very enjoyable. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Jeanne was predeceased by a brother Skipper. She is survived by her son, Dereck J. Connors and wife Veronika of Steuben; grandsons Dereck A. Connors and fiancée Dakota Gardiner, Logan MacDonald, Austin Connors, and Edward Connors; brother Larry Scofield and wife Elnora of Milford; special nephew Brian Scofield and wife Wendy of Howland; and special niece Stacy Hubel and husband Matt of Palmyra.
