Obituary for Thomas Drummond

Bangor - Thomas S. Drummond, 82, died peacefully due to cardiac arrest October 4, 2017 at the Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 29, 1935, in Waterville, Maine, the son of E. Richard and Elizabeth Sanders Drummond.

Tom attended Bangor High School in 1950, and graduated from Vermont Academy in 1954. Following graduation, he attended Colby College. Tom served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958. He married Gloria (Sobut) from Mexico, Maine August 17, 1957. They spent many enjoyable summers at camp on Phillips Lake in Dedham, ME and wintered in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Tom began his career as a stockbroker at Pierce, White and Drummond, retiring from R.B.C in 1999. He was a member of the Bangor City Club, a member and treasurer of the Good Samaritan Home, and founding member of the Bangor Breakfast Rotary Club.

In addition to his parents Tom, was predeceased by his brother Alex. He is survived by his wife Gloria, his daughter, Jane E Drummond of Florida, sons; Thomas S. Drummond Jr. and his wife Beth of Veazie, Peter S. Drummond of Colorado, grandchildren; Alexandra, Catherine, Hannah, Thomas, and Elizabeth, two brothers; E. Richard Drummond of Guilford, ME. and John Drummond of Tampa, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
