Gertrude 'Trudi'  Lichtman
Gertrude "Trudi" Lichtman, 90, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in her home in Orono, surrounded by loving family. She was born on May 24, 1927 in the Bronx ,NY, the daughter of Harry Adler and Fannie (Riter) Adler.

She graduated from high school at 15, having skipped 3 years. She worked in Manhattan, running an office in the fashion industry. Years later she returned to the work force for Fiduciary Trust. She married Leon "Lee" Lichtman and they settled in Brooklyn,NY. They were married for 64 years. After retirement they moved to Concordia, a retirement development in Monroe Township, NJ, where they had an active social life. An elegant woman with exquisite taste, she was admired by her friends and family. Trudi and Lee traveled the world together.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Miriam Werner, her husband Joseph,and her sister Mollie Adler. Surviving are her daughter Robin Beckett and her husband John of Orono, and her grandson Gregg Beckett of Staten Island, NY.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11:30 AM, Friday November 17, 2017 at the Beth El Cemetery, Severance Road, Bangor, with Rabbi Darrah Lerner, presiding. The family will be sitting Shiva on Sunday at the home of Robin and John Beckett, 10 University Place, Orono at 4:30. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
