Obituary for Alice O. Maynard

Alice O.  Maynard
BREWER - Alice Olivine Maynard, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully December 8, 2017, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was 76. She was born January 5, 1941, in Bangor, the daughter of John & Rita St. Pierre. Alice loved the ocean, country western music and any opportunity to laugh. She could often be found in her kitchen playing her harmonica, singing along to John Denver and dancing with her grandchildren, all while laughing her beloved laugh. She knew how to light up a room and everyone she met became a friend to her. Alice was an incredible cook whose recipes will be cherished for generations. Along with her family, Alice loved the many dachshunds she had over the years and each one held a special place in her heart. Alice was full of life, even until the end and will be remembered by her sense of humor, loving spirit and contagious laugh that was shared by everyone around her. Family was the pride and joy of Alice%u2019s life. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Roy G. Maynard Sr. of Brewer and their beloved children; Russ G. & Melony Maynard of Hermon, Anne R. Lever of Bangor, Lee M. Maynard Sr. of Holden and Andrea K. & Matthew Israel of Orrington. She is also survived by eight special grandchildren whom she adored and four great grandchildren that lit up the final years of her life. Alice was predeceased by her daughter, Roxanne M. Maynard and son in law Charles E. Lever III. Alice spent her final years surrounded by the loving staff in the memory unit at Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Bangor. Our family cannot thank you enough for the love and exceptional care you gave our beloved Alice over the years.
