Obituary for Everett Elmer Lancaster

Everett Elmer Lancaster, 82, died peacefully, December 18, 2017 at Togus Springs VA Hospice Center, with his loving family by his side. He was born October 25, 1935, in Sangerville, the son of Lewis and Etta A. (Eastman) Lancaster.
Everett graduated from high school at East Corinth Academy. He then served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp from 1954-1957. After his service, he started his career with the Bangor Fire Department where he earned the title of captain. Everett retired on December 30, 1989 after 22 years of dedicated service. He was not only dedicated to his career but also to his family. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, going out to eat with his friends, and quiet times at home. Everett was a kind hearted gentleman, a loving husband and father, and a sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nathalie (Trimm) Lancaster; his sons, Scott Lancaster and wife Theresa, of Navarre, FL, Jeffrey Lancaster and Lisa Wentworth, of Corinth; grandchildren; Michael Petty and wife Vickie, Lauren Lancaster and husband Eric, and their children, Linken, Locklyn, and Charlie, Marissa Petty and her daughter Sophie, and McKenna Lancaster. Special friends, Martha Goodness, Gary Cole, Ronnie Howell, Laverne Stockwell, Gene and Joyce Allen and Jeanie and Chester Michaud, Adolf Alexander, Betty Dow, Joyce Marshall, and May Alexander. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by two brothers, Steve and Ronald. The family would like to express a special heartfelt thank you to the Togus Springs staff and Evelyn and Alyssa of Premier Home Healthcare for the tender loving care given during Everett’s time of need.
The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments from 5-7 PM, Friday, Dec. 22, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith 163 Center St., Bangor.
