Michael S. Bordick, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully January 28, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born in Ford City, PA., January 6, 1943 the son of Michael S. Bordick, Sr. and Margaret (Englert) Bordick.
He served 22 years in the US Air Force retiring as a Tech Sgt.
Mike umpired baseball in the state of Maine for 50 years. His passion was the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was known to be a good cook as well. He worked as a contractor and loved working with wood.
Mike lived his life with great energy and passion and was always ready to help anyone in need.
Surviving are his wife, Cindy; two sons, Mike Bordick and his wife, Monica; Mark Bordick; two step children, Michelle Burke and her husband, Kevin and David Gifford and his wife, Karen; twelve grandchildren, Chandler, Dylan, Casey, Dawson, Wyatt, Colton, Julianne, Natalie, Madison, Bailey, Mackenzie and Riley; five brothers, Larry, Jim, Dan, Bob and Rich Bordick; two sisters, Mariann Schrecengost, Nancy Barklay; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday February 5, 2018 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center St., Bangor. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town. The Rite of Committal and military honors will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
