Obituary for Charles Williams Jordan

Charles Williams  Jordan
Charles W. Jordan, Jr. “Charlie/Chuck”, 81, passed away February 17, 2018 at a Bangor Hospital. He was born March 16, 1936 in Lewiston, the only child of Charles W. and Myrna Jordan.

Charlie attended Colby College, Springfield College and the University of Maine and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the State of Maine, Maine Central Railroad and for many years as a driver’s education instructor. Charlie was also a member of the Eagles Club and most proud of his work as a co-founder of the Pink Socks Foundation, a charity to raise money for breast cancer research. He was a loving Dad and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Charlie is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Tom Merchant of Bradley and Tracie and Chris Wickett of Cape Coral, Florida; his beloved granddaughters, Jordan Merchant and Taylor Wickett; grandsons, Zachary and Cayden Merchant and a great-granddaughter, Marley-Marie Merchant. He will also be missed by his canine buddy, Maverick. Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Clinda, his parents and his in-laws, Doris and Clinton Martin. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Maine Veterans’ Home, E Unit, Bangor for the love and care given to Charlie. You will forever be in our hearts.
