Obituary for Alice Theresa DiSalvatore (White)

Alice Theresa  DiSalvatore (White)
BANGOR – Alice T. (White) DiSalvatore, 89, passed away February 25, 2018, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born July 9, 1928, in Bangor, the daughter of James and Ida (Robichard) White.

Alice attended Bangor Parochial schools. She married Valentino A. DiSalvatore Sr. on January 4, 1947, and together had three children. Early in life, Alice was a foster mother, and later enjoyed childcare for family and friends. She was a lifetime member of Witcomb-Baker VFW Post #4633 of Hampden. Alice enjoyed candlepin bowling and playing Bingo with her friends and family. She also enjoyed her gardens, which many neighbors admired.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased a son, James DiSalvatore; brothers, Clifford, Lewis, Edward, and Fred Baillargeon; and a sister, Rose Okishoff. Surviving are a daughter, Gloria DiSalvatore of Fairfield; a son, Tino Jr. and wife, Jean of Eddington; grandchildren, Christopher DiSalvatore, Angelina DiSalvatore and fiancé, Mike Poulin, and Felicia Davis and husband, Jerrett; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ben, Gavin, Alexia, and Elaina; a brother, Raymond White; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A Funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York Street, Bangor, followed by the Rite of Committal in Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish to remember Alice in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
