Grayson Stuart  Wentworth
HERMON - Grayson Wentworth, 75, died in the early morning of March 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Dexter, Maine, the son of Galen and Myrtle (Finley) Wentworth.
Grayson graduated from Dexter High School, class of 1960, and later received an Associates Degree from the University of Maine. He was a veteran employee of Bangor Pipe and Supply, where he worked until his retirement. At an early age, he taught himself to play guitar, and spent decades as the bass guitarist for the band, Whistle Stop. He was an active Mason, as a member and past master of St. Andrews #83 AF & AM of Bangor, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Valley of Bangor, Maine Consistory 32nd Degree. He was also a member of All York Rite Bodies, Red Cross of Constantine, and Provost Guard of Anah Shriners.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Grayson D. Wentworth. Surviving are his longtime love, Jeri-Lyn of Hermon, sister, Sandra Wentworth of Calais, son Chris Wentworth and his wife, Erika of Levant, grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew and Sarah, niece and nephews, Shannon, Mike, Sean, and Joshua, and a lifelong dear friend, Bill Eastman of Brewer.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5 to 7pm Monday, March 26, 2018 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor where all are welcome to attend a Masonic memorial service which will be conducted by the officers and members of St. Andrews Lodge #83, Bangor at 6:30pm. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter later in the spring. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
